In the last four years, I've been in three new systems of coaching. So I pride myself in being a real student of the game and being a quick learner and leader. My strengths as a player is my versatility and my feel for the game. I have a great feel for the game, any position I play I feel like I'm the quarterback at that position. Last year I had a good season I tied for first place in the whole section for interceptions and led my team in receiving touchdowns also. Highlights of the season was our homecoming game against International Falls, it was a back and forth game we beat them on a defensive stop on the last drive of the game but my favorite was beating Roosevelt at home for our first game of the playoff on our home field . Brooklyn Center hasn't won a home playoff game in over eight years so it felt great to be able to finally bring one in for the city of Brooklyn Center for so long.”
Kai is hard at work here in the summer.
“This off season I've been just working trying not to let what happen last season happen again this season,” Kai explained to Northstar Football. “I've been in the lab(gym/field) working at my craft . My fire has been lit I'm more motivated than I ever been and I'm just excited and eager to start this season I know the work I've been putting in and can't wait to put all this onto the field. My expectations for next season individually is to lead the state in interceptions. Last year I tied first for my sections, now I want to lead the whole state. As a team I expect us to win all our games we have the chance of doing so we have a strong senior class with great players and leaders so I don't see why not. With the great coaching staff we have I see us having an appearance in the U.S Bank. Our whole coaching staff know what it takes and have been putting us in the right spot to make that happen this season so look out for them Centaurs.”
