Team Rankings – Week 4
Northstar Football News has revised and updated the team rankings from Class 6A to 9-Man after the fourth week of games in the 2017 regular season.
The second half of the season begins Thursday night, with most of the Class 6A teams in action including No. 1 Eden Prairie at No. 6 Maple Grove. The Eagles are the only top team play another highly-rated opponent, but there are plenty of other intriguing Week 5 matchups with teams looking to crack the Top 5.
No. 6 (AAAAA) Chaska faces its third-straight tough test this week on the road at No. 3 (AAAAA) Apple Valley, rekindling an old Lake Conference matchup from over a decade ago.
In the South Central District, two contests featuring unbeaten teams will give the victor the inside track for a subdistrict championship. Marshall and Waseca, No. 6 and No. 7 in Class AAAA, play at Southwest Minnesota State University for the Red subdistrict lead. In Class AA, sixth-ranked Pipestone Area hosts seventh-ranked Redwood Valley. The winner will hold a one-game advantage with three regular-season games to play.
