NFN Week 8 Featured Games
There is only so much you can say about the Eden Prairie Eagles at this point in the season. They are good. Very good.
Mike Grant's team has outscored its opponents 243 to 61. The Eagles average almost 200 yards a game on the ground and quarterback Cole Kramer has a 144.4 passer rating. The Eagles also have the No. 1-ranked senior prospect in Minnesota in Benny Sapp III, but he's out for the season with a knee injury.
They haven’t been significantly challenged up to this point. They are coming off their closest game of the season – an 18-point win over a highly-ranked Minnetonka team.
The Hornets have been almost as dominating as the Eagles. They have outscored their opponents more than two to one and out rushed their opponents by a two to one margin as well. Edina has 2019’s top-rated player in offensive tackle Quinn Carroll. The junior is uncommitted but will have his choice of schools at this time next season.
I don’t expect the Eagles to lose, but with the talent on the Hornets’ sidelines, Edina is as well equipped as anyone to knock off Eden Prairie. — Brian Jerzak (@brijerzak), NFN Staff Writer
