Northstar Football News has revised and updated the team rankings from Class 6A to 9-Man entering penultimate week of the regular season.

The top-ranked teams appear to have strangleholds on their respective positions in the seven classes of Minnesota high school football. The squads jockeying for position behind them, however, are as fluid as they've been this fall.

Chaska moved into the second spot behind No. 1 Owatonna in Class AAAAA after Elk River was upset by Rogers last week. In Class AAAA, Benilde-St. Margaret's vaulted into second behind top-ranked Winona after edging Holy Angels 20-19 in a nailbiter. The Stars fell to No. 6 with the narrow loss, allowing Marshall to make its top-five debut in the fifth slot.

In 9-Man, Cromwell moved into second after another impressive victory coupled with a loss by No. 2 Nevis. At the other end of the enrollment spectrum, Eden Prairie remained ahead of Minnetonka and Edina in Class 6A, while Totino-Grace and Centennial rounded out the top five. Minnetonka travels to Eden Prairie on Friday with the No. 1 ranking at stake.
