Continue ReadingAs we have moved on from the 2019 season and recruiting has heated up in the winter – we have seen signing days pass and upcoming junior days postponed due to COVID-19. However, offers and commitments are still rolling in and being reported, so Northstar Football News is going in-depth to reveal which of Minnesota’s high school program’s hold some of the deepest and most talented classes in the state. This ninth edition to the series will take us a quick twentyish minutes North of Minneapolis to Spring Lake Park. With a population of around 6,600 the town is located closely to Coon Rapids, Blaine, and Brooklyn Park, and with its high school – the Spring Lake Park Panthers – tradition of success on the gridiron under Friday Night Lights, the high school attracts football recruits from many of its neighboring cities. With kids coming from around the Northwest suburbs to play for the Panthers and its impressive coaching staff and culture, this isn’t the first time SLP has had its recruits in the spotlight, and even after graduating some studs this spring the Panthers boast another deep and talented recruiting class that will have a great shot at competing for a third straight Class 5A section title. With a particular depth at skill positions, this 2021 has an emphasis on speed, and with the Panthers prowess in the weight room these ballers have a great chance at making a big-time impact on college football teams in 2021. Check out this Spring Lake Park Panther edition of “MN Recruiting Hotbeds” and see who should be on your radar going into next season.
