5 New Varsity Names to Know
Jack Tremblay, Lincoln Way East, 6’, 200, ATH, JR
Tremblay believe it or not, has played on the varsity level already. He had limited action against Plainfield South in the playoffs and actually caught a touchdown pass. This is an explosive wide receiver, with legit 4.5 speed. He adds a another dimension to his game with his kick returning ability. Jack is great at the top of his route and is physical in the blocking game. He reminds of a taller version of Batavia’s Trey Urwiler Trey Urwiler 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Batavia | 2021 IL .
Jack Disano, Glenbrook South 6’4, 225, TE/DE, JR
This kid looks like a Division one tight end already. Disano has soft hands and is able to adjust to almost any throw. He’s also a relentless pass rusher who plays with good bend and a high motor. He has the ability to split out at the W receiver position and create a size mismatch on corners. A huge part of his game is boxing out defenders and giving his QB an easy target to throw to.
Ena Dorcoo Joliet West, 5’7, 150, RB, JR
A smaller elusive back who can stop on a dime. Dorcoo has great vision and breakaway speed to get past defenders at the second and third level. He has a knack for always making the first defender miss and seems to always put tacklers on roller skates. Dorcoo uses his size to an advantage hiding behind his offensive line, before bursting through the hole. I don’t see his size posing too much of an issue as much more programs are choosing to go with the smaller scat type backs.
Chris Terek, Glenbard West, 6’5, 310, OL, SO
Terek is the lone sophomore on this list and for a good reason. He’s massive offensive line prospect with a ton of upside. He excels at climbing to the next level and consistently puts defends on their backs. Terek plays with good hand placement and always is looking to finish through the whistle. I’d be shocked if he didn’t any offers this time next year.
Chris Petrucci, Maine South, 6’4, 200, WR, JR
A long striding wide out prospect with great build up speed. This kid gives defenders fits with his size and can go up and win contested jump balls. After the catch he looks almost like a slot receiver and is tough to bring down in space. Don’t be shocked if he puts up big numbers in Maine South’s pass happy offense. Petrucci played wide receiver, but I think he has the size and ability to play tight end at the next level.
