The 6’4 tight end/outside linebacker had an outstanding sophomore season and burst on the scene. As a tight end, he catches the ball effortlessly in traffic & has the ability to adjust and catch the football in awkward body positions. Someone with Evan’s size isn’t supposed to be able to move as well as he does. He’s a natural long strider with great build up speed. He can play inline, but also split out wide and cause a mismatch on outside linebackers. He’s a real threat in the red zone and always seems to have a big play in his back pocket. King also excels on the defensive side as an outside linebacker. He’s instinctive and does a phenomenal job tackling in space. King, to me, is a no-doubt division one prospect. It’s hard to find a tight end prospect who can catch the football like he does. He’s a bit raw right now, but my prediction with another year under his belt, he’s going to have a breakout 2020 season and pick-up some big offers. Check out our Q&A with him below.
