Davonte DeMary, 5’7, 210, Chicago (Bulls College Prep) ’21
It’s all downhill once DeMary gets the ball. He’s short and stocky and runs with immense power that makes it very tough for defenders to get a solo tackle on him. Possesses the footspeed and vision to cut back on a dime with the necessary finesse to elude defenders in space or traffic.
Andre Crews Andre Crews 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Simeon | 2023 State IL , 5’11, 160, Chicago (Simeon) ’23
Crews is already one of the city’s most intriguing prospects, and the scary part is, he has three more seasons to build onto his resume. As a freshman, he was one of the leading rushers on a Simeon team that went 7-2. He’s tough as nails and is a one-cut-and-go running back with the speed and wiggle to make defenders miss and rip off routine long runs.
Amarius Weatherspoon Amarius Weatherspoon 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Solorio | 2021 IL , 5’11, 200, Chicago (Solorio) ’21
Weatherspoon is probably one of the most underrated RB prospects in the state. He’s your prototypical 3-down back with the size and strength to run through you and has enough speed to go by you. An intelligent runner with elite foot speed who’s also a reliable blocker with soft hands to catch it out the backfield. Has a quick burst with a mean cutback which often results in him hitting pay dirt.
Nasir Latham, 5’9, 170, Chicago (Lane Tech) ’21
Speed kills—and Nasir Latham has a lot of it. A supreme athlete with elite quickness and acceleration which makes him a nightmare in the open field. A creative runner with a small frame but has the toughness to run it between the tackles. Effective in the catch and run game and adds value as a returner.
RaShard Moore, 6’0, 185, Chicago (Westinghouse) ’21
Moore is a physically gifted RB that runs with bad intentions and loves attacking the point of contact. Light on his feet and works well in tight spaces—fights forward for extra yardage with good leg churn. Accelerates to the edge and has decent long speed for a player of his size.
