McKade Brooks (Astoria HS)- Solid height and weight, slender, trim, proportioned with some definition. Good acceleration and burst off the snap, along with showing good vision to read and react with little wasted movements. Good foot quickness both when flowing to a hole or shooting the A or B gaps. Displayed the ability to chase ball carriers down from the backside. Good body control in order to settle and square to ball carrier. Good tackler, can wrap and finish along with showing knock back tackling ability. Good blitzing ability, wins with burst and acceleration to get home. Overall, an athletic guy who has good speed and sideline to sideline ability. He still has room to grow, but has good traits.
Aidan Curry (Aquin Catholic HS)- Solid height and weight, slender, proportioned with some definition. Very good vision and anticipation, along with read/react ability to limit wasted movements. Good downhill acceleration to hit the hole as it develops, his burst allows him to get in and out clean. Very good UOH and lateral movements to flow with the play, disengage, and attack the ball. Good body control, settles and squares. Good tackler, wraps on contact and finishes. Good overall player, who will be at his best if protected up front, but doesn’t have to be, as his UOH will be able to keep OL off of him in most situations.
Hunter Hargrave (Civic Memorial HS)- Adequate height and solid weight, buff, proportioned with some definition. Good vision and anticipation off snap. Solid lateral agility to flow. Shows numbers to numbers range, and the ability to work through traffic when pursuing. Solid UOH, in order to work across OL face both at the second level and near the LOS. Solid body control, will settle and make tackles in confined areas and in the open field. Lacks foot quickness, and downhill acceleration to consistently transition downhill, allowing OL to get on him at the second level. Overall, a solid undersized LB with potential, but he must continue to develop to realize his full potential.
