Behind the running of senior and University of Miami-bound Thaddius Franklin, the Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna Lions are looking for a 4th consecutive 3A state championship this coming season.

As a youth football player, you dream of one day making it to the state championship game as a high school athlete.

In those dreams, you put yourself in a position to throw a winning touchdown, make that decisive catch or come up with that important sack that gives your team that advantage.

For many, reaching a state championship game never comes, so you can understand what is happening at Chaminade-Madonna is not the norm.

When head coach Dameon Jones and his team beat Tallahassee’s Florida High last December, it was the third consecutive state title for this team – and the fourth straight state championship finals the Lions advanced to.

This program is a dynasty among 3A schools, and while there are many challengers standing in the way in 2020, this program is loaded with big time talent and difference makers.
