The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder chose UNLV over multiple Power 5 conference schools like Arizona State, Auburn, Colorado, Florida and Penn State.
UNLV landed Rosas because they made him a priority and made him feel comfortable.
“(There’s) a family-friendly environment and UNLV has my major among other things,” Rosas said.
According to 247Sports, Rosas is the No. 46 ranked guard in the country and the highest ranked offensive lineman to ever commit to UNLV. New head coach for the Rebels, Marcus Arroyo, helped personally recruit Rosas and he felt really comfortable with the entire coaching staff.

“The whole staff really talked to me,” Rosas said. “I don’t know who was pushing the most but offensive line coach (Cameron) Norcross made me really want to play under him and it’s going to be a great experience.”
Rosas committed in July so he can focus on his senior season and improve his game.
“Now I can just focus on my senior year and be the best I can be,” Rosas said. “I want to be playing games already, just counting the days until we come back.”
Rosas doesn’t see any other school recruiting him away from UNLV. Despite his early commitment, the coaching staff still contacts him regularly and checks just to see how he is doing.
However, Rosas still plans on taking official visits to other schools when the NCAA allows athletes to do so. He did a virtual tour of the campus via Zoom with the coaching staff at UNLV.
“I earned my official five visits and I believe I deserve to have them,” Rosas said.
Although Rosas will take his well-earned visits, it is unlikely another school will convince him to withdraw his commitment from UNLV. Rosas told the Las Vegas Sun that the only way a school could flip him is if they push harder than UNLV, which he does not see happening.
