While Covid-19 has given many of the athletes an opportunity to work by themselves, watching film, getting stronger and becoming more agile, you will see a more improved football talent when the season starts.
No matter what direction you head in, the objective has been the same for these quality football prospects.
The hard work and dedication to the game has brought many prospects, who were just sophomores last season, to another level. Weight gain, strength and just an overall maturity has transformed so many football prospects into much different players than when the 2019 season came to an end.
As we continue our journey across the state, we will bring you some of the prospects – in all classes – to keep an eye on.
Here are 5 more football players you should to know in 2020:
Jonathan Campbell, S, Daytona Beach Mainland. This gifted football player is one of those playmakers that every program needs. Whether it’s tackling a runner or covering a receiver, this is a football talent who has a knack for the ball. He is not afraid to stick his head in the action, and his teammates and coaches certainly appreciate that.

Logan Hackett, QB, Lakeland Lake Gibson. What’s not to like about this young man? He has a shotgun of an arm, accurate and is not afraid to squeeze the ball in tight places. Because he is always a threat to run, he keeps defenses on their toes on every play. His vision is impressive and the way he looks off receivers gives him an extra second or so to make a play. The Braves have always been fortunate to have a solid, smart quarterback prospect. Here is another one.

Nyjalik Kelly, DE, Fort Lauderdale Dillard. One of the hidden gems in the state, colleges are just starting to find out about him here in the off season – with Power 5 schools showing plenty of love. He gets his hand in the dirt and very few people can stop him from getting to the passer or running down the ball carrier. Easily one of the emerging stars that everyone will be following.

Jamel Lynch, LB, Apopka Wekiva. On a team ready to pull off a few surprises in 2020, here is a football player who just makes plays. He is strong, quick and is very smart. While he also plays running backs, this is one of those pure play-making linebackers who will chase you down and hit you. He often gets to runners before they get to the line of scrimmage. Solid football player, here.

Tavares Williams Jr., S/CB/OLB, Gainesville Eastside. Another of those versatile football players, here is someone who is always in the right place at the right time. He will hit you like a truck and finish off as many plays as anyone in his class. Linebacker, safety, corner. You name the position and he will play it – and doing an amazing job at it. This is a prospect that is for real, an as he continues to emerge, this program will continue to benefit from his many talents. Did we mention that he also plays on special teams as well?
