Even though there were players from all positions there, it’s easy for the majority of the focus to be on the QB’s when the camp is being put on by former NFL quarterback, Tim Jenkins.
With that being said, we’re going to take a look at the QB’s from the class of 2022 who stood out during the camp.
Dane Dougherty Dane Dougherty 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Mountain Vista | 2022 State CO – Mountain Vista HS, CO
Dougherty definitely turned a few heads during the camp. The 6-foot-3, 177lbs quarterback is looking to take control of his team’s offense this year, and he certainly has the talent to do so. He has a quick release with a true cannon for an arm. He’s accurate on the run and has the skill to be precise off of his back foot. As a backup last season, Dougherty had 24 completions on 41 attempts for 348 yards and one touchdown.
Will Geiman Will Geiman QB Eagle Valley | 2022 State CO – Eagle Valley HS, CO
This 6 foot, 190lbs quarterback has a smooth throwing motion with a quick release. His arm strength enables him to give his receivers a chance to run under the ball and make a catch in stride. He is also capable of using his legs to make himself a threat in the run game. Geiman’s camp performance has shown his improvement from last year. In addition to his 1,226 passing yards and nine touchdowns, Geiman ran for 166 yards and scored seven rushing touchdowns. With the expectation of being a second-year starter, this young man is poised to have an exciting season.

Nathan Johnson – Clovis HS, CA
Johnson made sure that if he was going to make the trip from California, he was going to prove that he’s worth watching. The 6-foot-2, 185lbs quarterback showed off his incredible arm talent and precise accuracy at the camp. As a backup, this dual-threat QB had seven completions on 15 attempts for 138 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 352 yards on 37 carries for two touchdowns. Instead of simply sitting on the sidelines as a backup, Johnson played receiver where he caught 40 passes for 577 yards and six touchdowns. Not to mention that he was the team’s punter, finishing with 11 punts for 522 yards with his longest being a 60-yard boot.
Other standout 2022 QB’s:
Caden Kaylor – Colorado
Koby Case – Wyoming
