Some of the state’s top athletes have turned to sports performance coach Desmond Wilford, founder of Intense Sports Training, for their athletic development needs. Among this group is Cherry Creek’s Myles Purchase Myles Purchase 5'11" | DB Cherry Creek | 2021 State CO , Prep Redzone’s 2nd-ranked cornerback in the 2021 class.
Purchase has received 10 Division I offers so far, including Colorado State, Iowa State, and Kansas State. Leading up to his senior season, the 5-foot-11 and 180lbs cornerback has accumulated 89 total tackles, 10 interceptions, and 12 pass breakups during his two years in the position. All four of his interceptions from last season were returned for touchdowns, including one in the quarterfinals of the 5A state playoffs. When asked about the motivating factor for the Bruins’ successful season, Purchase responded with, “I think it was the loss in state the previous year. I feel like we had a chip on our shoulder all year.” That chip helped them go 14-0, and finish the 2019 season as the 5A State Champions.

These offers include Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, and UCLA. Walker’s goal for his senior season is to continue to get better while showing improvement. He stated that “this has been one of my best offseasons in terms of working towards my game. Special thanks to Coach Des!”
Another talented athlete who trains with Coach Wilford is Lakewood High’s Addison Reddinger Addison Reddinger 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Lakewood | 2021 CO . The 6-foot-1 and 190lbs safety finished his junior season with 92 total tackles and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. Reddinger’s on-field talent and 4.6 cumulative GPA have resulted in him receiving a total of 8 Division III offers, including Occidental College, Oberlin College, and Middlebury College. The tenacious strong safety is working hard to achieve his goal of adding a few of the Ivy League schools to his recruitment list. “I want to play football at a high academic institution. I’ve been talking to Brown, Columbia, and Yale, and those D-III academic schools as well.”
