- DL Caden Curry Caden Curry 6'5" | 265 lbs | DL Center Grove | 2022 State IN – Center Grove HS
Caden is already one of the top recruits in the nation for his class. Having offers from the likes of Alabama and Ohio State as a sophomore is no small feat. He has 16 D1 offers in total and it only takes one clip of his sophomore highlight film to understand why. He is the prototype when it comes to a big time college defensive lineman. He is 6’5″, bends like a skill player, uses his hands like a veteran player, is twitched up, and plays a violent brand of football. It is crazy to think that he still has two years of high school football left, because he is pretty much college ready right now. Special talent!
- OL Joey Tanona Joey Tanona 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL Zionsville | 2022 State IN – Zionsville HS
Joey is already committed to Notre Dame and was the first commit of the 2022 class for the Fighting Irish. There are few 2022’s in the nation that are as talented at the position and that is not an exaggeration by any means. It is rare to find a sophomore with his combo of size, athleticism, and body control. Extremely fluid, great feet/lateral movement, and some nasty to him as well. Notre Dame definitely kicked off their 2022 class with a splash.
- DL Joe Strickland Joe Strickland 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School | 2022 State IN – Brebeuf Jesuit
The first things that stands out about Joe are his his burst off the ball, his strength, and his bend off the edge when rushing the passer. In addition to being physically gifted, he brings a lot of hustle to his game which can be rare for a young prospect with his ability. I love his relentless pursuit of the ball and his ability to win with speed or power when going up against offensive lineman. Big time player that already has 12 D1 offers.
- RB Daniel Weems Daniel Weems 5'11" | 205 lbs | RB Center Grove | 2022 State IN – Center Grove HS
I wanted to have at least one prospect without offers on this list, and Daniel is that player. At 5’11″ and over 200 pounds, he already has the size that big time college football programs are looking for when recruiting HS RB’s. He is a home run threat out of the backfield, has great balance, can cut on a dime, and is at full speed after only a couple of steps. He is going to have to share touches with all of Center Grove’s talent, but I have no doubt in my mind that he will have another big season. He is a Power 5 prospect that should have offers coming in soon.
- DL Popeye Williams Popeye Williams 6'3" | 220 lbs | DL Westfield | 2022 State IN – Westfield HS
Some players just have “it” when you turn on the film. Popeye is one of those guys. Sudden, athletic, and has an incredible motor. He is a physical kid that comes with bad intentions every play. You see a lot of offensive lineman try to use their length advantage to bottle him up, but they struggle because of how violently he rushes the passer. He will be a fun one to watch over the next couple of years.
