These following five offensive linemen haven’t received enough attention from college recruiters. Historically, offensive linemen don’t hit their growth stride until college so good college recruiters understand how to project. Heading into the 2020 season, each one of these players is trending up so their recruiting should pick up because finding quality big men to control the line of scrimmage is a tough task.
Jackson White Jackson White 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Oak Park | 2021 State MO , Oak Park (6’3, 280) White is a typical smash-mouth player who is not scared to mix it up in the trenches. He has active feet when pulling and when he does drop his weight and explode into the block, White will move the man off the spot. The Oak Park product is an excellent leader and teammate who makes the entire offensive line room better. White projects well to any interior position along the offensive line in college. Expect his list of suitors to grow as the season wears on.
Dylan Halterman Dylan Halterman 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Lee's Summit West | 2021 State MO , Lee’s Summit West, (6’4, 265) Halterman is way too good of a player to only have a few lower level offers. The LSW athlete is the perfect projected offensive guard at the college level. He plays behind his pads, understands angles, and light on his feet. Halterman walks like an athlete and glides in pass protection. With added weight and strength that college programs can provide, Halterman is a name to watch for over the next few years. A solid senior year should solidify big-time offers.
Hayden Hauser Hayden Hauser 6'3" | 255 lbs | OL Francis Howell | 2021 State MO , Francis Howell, (6’3, 250) Hauser has played in the shadow of Missouri Tiger Drake Heismeyer but his light will shine bright in 2020. Hauser is a solid athlete who blocks extremely well to the second level. In space, Hauser can control his body, drop his weight, and keep the defender from making the play. Hauser projects to any of the interior offensive line spots in college but with his quick feet, could play offensive tackle for a D-2 school.
John Wilson John Wilson 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL St. Charles West | 2021 State MO , St. Charles West, (6’5, 318) Wilson is a beast on the high school basketball court and that athleticism is what will get college coaches excited. Once Wilson gets to college and dedicates himself fully to one sport, he has a chance to turn into a special player. Added strength and muscle make him a top-tier recruit. Wilson has excellent foot quickness for his size. As he gains his ’man’ strength and finds a nasty streak, Wilson could be one of the best offensive linemen to come out of Missouri.
Jack Powers Jack Powers 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Westminster | 2021 State MO , Westminster, (6’4, 295) Powers is intelligent, smart, and deceptively strong, especially when he gains inside hands quickly. Powers has steadily improved every year since his freshman year. He now dominates his level of competition. The Westminster product has his pick of Ivy League schools to choose from, but Powers’ growth potential speaks of a MAC or Conference USA type player or higher come the spring of 2021.
