The latest decision comes from Grandview defensive lineman/linebacker Trevyn Heil Trevyn Heil 6'2" | LB Grandview | 2021 State CO , who announced his commitment on Saturday, July 25. In a post via social media, Hill announced he would be heading to the University of Nevada.

Heil is the first to commit to Nevada from the state and the 14th prospect to announce his plans to join the program. In terms of prospects from Colorado, his commitment is the fourth to a school in the Mountain West, joining Colorado State (five players), Boise State (one player) and Fresno State (one player).
“Signing with Nevada feels great,” Heil said. “I know I’m in good hands with the great coaches, players and facilities.”
Heil has been a two-way player for the Class 5A Grandview Wolves along the offensive and defensive lines. His athleticism has made him a good offensive guard capable of pulling and moving guys to create running lanes and protect the quarterback. As for defense, he also brings some versatility, lining up and both defensive end and defensive tackle. He shows a good first step getting off the line and can shoot the gap to get penetration and cause havoc in the backfield. The highlight film also highlights his physical hands he uses to engage with offensive lineman and stand them up and make plays.
When Nevada came calling, Heil said it ended up being a perfect fit.
“My decision was based off the coaches, the team and players, the programs they have had, and the location,” Heil said. “On my visit I fell in love with Reno. It’s such a great place to be.”
In addition to Nevada, Heil had other options in the Mountain West conference as well as a number of FCS level schools in consideration before making his commitment official.
Grandview will look for Heil to anchor the defense this season after going 8-3 and reaching the Class 5A state playoffs in 2019. In terms of his preparation for the season, he has done as much work on the field and in the weight room as he can to improve as an athlete.
“I’ve been training to perfect my technique, strength and agility,” Heil said. “I’ve been doing so with my high school and training facilities in Colorado.”
While his senior season at the high school level is still being sorted out, having his future plans set is making things much easier for Heil heading into the fall.
“Having made my decision to go to Nevada was a lot of stress, but also a huge relief,” Heil said. “I’m ready to graduate and start working with the Wolf Pack.”
