Blake Nelson Blake Nelson 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Walled Lake Central | 2021 State MI | 6’4″, 235 | TE | Walled Lake Central
Probably the most recognizable name on the list, Nelson is seen by many as the top tight end prospect in the state. He holds several D1 offers, which includes Kentucky, Purdue, Buffalo and Central Michigan to name a few. He is not only a talented receiver, but he brings great blocking ability as well, which can be tough to find in young players at the position. Nelson is arguably the top talent in the conference and will be exciting to watch this season.
Zach Trainor Zach Trainor 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Walled Lake Western | 2021 State MI | 6’2″, 205 | QB | Walled Lake Western
Trainor is the first of many Walled Lake Western players on this list. The recent Eastern Illinois commit has a solid arm, but his touch and accuracy are the most impressive parts of his game. He plays with poise in the pocket and is capable of escaping the pressure in order to make plays with his legs. Walled Lake Western should have another successful season with Trainor at the helm.
Eric Craft Eric Craft 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Waterford Kettering | 2021 State MI | 6’0″, 175 | WR | Waterford Kettering
Craft has good hands with the speed college coaches look for. He uses his speed and some route savvy to gain separation and makes plays. Craft holds offers from Penn, Valparaiso and Lawrence Tech, but I expect this list to grow throughout the 2020 season.
Matt Vallieres Matt Vallieres 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL Walled Lake Western | 2021 State MI | 6’6″, 317 | OL | Walled Lake Western
Walled Lake Western has put out top offensive line recruits in the past and Vallieres appears to be next in line. His size and strength make him a natural fit at right tackle, but he shows some promise as a pass protector too. He holds several offers that range from the FCS to DIII level and could gain FBS interest with more improvement this season.
Pierce Muthui-Edwards Pierce Muthui-Edwards 5'6" | 150 lbs | WR Walled Lake Western | 2021 State MI | 5’6″, 150 | WR/RB | Walled Lake Western
A transfer from Harper Woods, Muthui-Edwards joins an already talented Walled Lake Western roster. He was commonly used at quarterback at his previous school, but he should make the transition to receiver for the Warriors. He is the definition of a gadget player that can line up all over the field and make an impact with his run-after-catch ability. Muthui-Edwards holds several offers from multiple levels and his list should continue to grow this season.
