Isaiah Jones-Stiverson Isaiah Jones-Stiverson 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB Flint Kearsley | 2021 State MI | 5’9″, 203 | Flint Kearsley
Kearsley quarterback Braylon Silvas Braylon Silvas 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Flint Kearsley | 2021 State MI has received a lot of college interest, but I’m surprised that a player like Jones-Stiverson hasn’t gotten the attention of college coaches. He has a compact build with good speed, vision and suddenness to make guys miss. He has shown some ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, but he will need to further develop that area of his game at the next level. Jones-Stiverson has plenty of talent and we should see an increase in his recruiting this season.
Mekhi Elam Mekhi Elam 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB West Bloomfield | 2021 MI | 5’8″, 175 | West Bloomfield
Elam has become a bit overshadowed in West Bloomfield’s offense due to having to share carries with top running backs Donovan Edwards Donovan Edwards 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Camden | 2021 State SC and Dillon Tatum Dillon Tatum 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH West Bloomfield | 2022 State MI . He has the vision and breakaway speed to make big plays and he has flashed very good contact balance. Elam is a player that deserves more hype heading into the 2020 season.
Carter Cryderman Carter Cryderman 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Davison | 2021 State MI | 5’11″, 185 | Davison
As the top back on a state champion team, one would think the offers are pouring in for Cryderman, but that hasn’t been the case. He runs with good vision, balance and has flashed some elusiveness as well. Davison should once again be competing for a state title this season, which should attract more college recruiters.
Travis Boston Jr. Travis Boston Jr. 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Fordson | 2021 State MI | 5’10″, 200 | Fordson
A transfer from Oak Park, Boston Jr. will likely become the lead ball carrier for Fordson this upcoming season. He shows really good vision and can consistently make the first defender miss. He can firmly put himself on college radars with a productive senior season.
Xaiyon Styles Xaiyon Styles 5'10" | 225 lbs | RB Waterford Mott | 2021 MI | 5’10″, 225 | Waterford Mott
Styles missed some time due to injury last season, but he produced while he was healthy and on the field. What he lacks in top end speed, he makes up for with his size and power. He is a tough runner who has no problem advancing the football by shedding poor tacklers. Styles is a collegiate level talent that could play on either side of the ball at the next level.
Antio Harrison Antio Harrison 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Montrose | 2021 MI | 5’10″, 180 | Montrose
Harrison shows plus vision with good elusiveness and speed. He has flashed good hands out of the backfield and could become a complete back at the next level. Harrison is certainly a player with monitoring and college coaches should be taking notice this season.
Kolby Hindenach Kolby Hindenach 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Paw Paw | 2021 State MI | 5’10″, 190 | Paw Paw
Hindenach was one of the most dominant running backs in the state last season, which makes his lack of offers surprising. He is a big play waiting to happen and he uses his blend of speed and toughness to advance the football. Kolby and his twin brother Connor are the star players for Paw Paw and will be key to the team’s success in 2020.
Jaylin Matthews Jaylin Matthews 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB Ann Arbor Huron | 2021 MI | 5’8″, 170 | Ann Arbor Huron
Matthews is primarily used as a slot receiver in the River Rat’s offense, but his skillset would be a good fit at running back. He has good vision with the ability to create with the ball in his hands and he would bring good pass catching skills to the position. Matthews would fit very well as a gadget-type player for a college offense.
Alexander Hosey Alexander Hosey 5'7" | 150 lbs | RB East Lansing | 2021 MI | 5’7″, 150 | East Lansing
Hosey is undersized, but he is a shifty runner with playmaking speed. I’d like to see him show more as a pass catcher, but he is a top talent on East Lansing’s roster and shouldn’t be overlooked by college evaluators.
O’Marion Davis O’Marion Davis 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Battle Creek Central | 2021 MI | 5’8″, 160 | Battle Creek Central
Davis showed some promise last season and he will have a chance to become the primary running back this fall. He has really good burst and flashed the ability to create yardage out of nothing. Davis could end up being a big riser if he has a big senior season.
