Prep Redzone is excited to add the state of Kansas to its list of recruited states. Despite canceled summer 7-on-7 camps, college team camps, 5-on-5 scrimmages, and combines the Prep Redzone staff is proud to launch the new web site in Kansas and announce the initial Top 200 Preseason Rankings for the Class of 2021.
Below are the five student-athletes who lead the pack in the initial recruitment rankings. They are among the thousands of Kansas student-athletes who hope to be able to return to the classroom and gridiron this fall.
DB, Davonte Pritchard Davonte Pritchard 6'1" | 195 lbs | DB Gardner Edgerton | 2021 State KS , 6’1”, 195, Gardner Edgerton (Ranked No. 1) – Whether lining up as a linebacker or playing safety the one thing for certain is Pritchard’s future is more than likely on the defensive side of the ball. He runs a 4.6 forty, smells out the football, and finishes tackles. He could be best suited for a monster back position depending on the defensive scheme. Pritchard has made a verbal commitment to Kansas State University.
ATH, Arland Bruce IV Arland Bruce IV 5'10" | 195 lbs | ATH Ankeny | 2021 State IA , 5’0”, 185, Olathe North (Ranked No. 2) – Bruce has explosive speed and his lateral movement makes him an extreme threat to score. He has played running back and quarterback in the Eagle offensive system. Bruce has verbally committed to play college ball at the University of Iowa.
RB, Devin Neal Devin Neal 5'11" | 210 lbs | RB Lawrence | 2021 State KS , 6’0”, 195, Lawrence (Ranked No. 3) – As an elusive running back, Neal was named to the Class 5A All-State team as a junior. He hits the hole hard and has the ability to break tackles. He has very soft hands and is a threat to catch swing and screen passes. Neal has a verbal commitment to Kansas University.
OL, Noah Bolticoff Noah Bolticoff 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Rose Hill | 2021 State KS , 6’5”, 280, Rose Hill (Ranked No. 4) – This young man looks like he was born to protect the quarterback’s blindside. He is a solid pass protector with a big frame, and he gets his hands inside the defender. Bolticoff has verbally committed to play at Texas Christian University.
ATH, Dorian Stephens Dorian Stephens 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH Blue Valley | 2021 State KS , 6’2”, 187, Blue Valley (Ranked No. 5) – Stephens played on a senior-laden team in 2019, but will have a chance to shine in 2020. He could play offense or defense in college and should be able to provide a quick impact on special teams. Stephens has made a verbal commitment to Kansas State University.
Rounding out the Top 10 are RB, Tank Young Tank Young 5'7" | 185 lbs | RB St. Thomas Aquinas | 2021 State KS , St. Thomas Aquinas; DL, Damian Ilalio Damian Ilalio 6'2" | 250 lbs | DL Manhattan | 2021 State KS , Manhattan; OL, Harlan Obioha Harlan Obioha 7'1" | 300 lbs | OL Hoxie | 2021 State KS , Hoxie; LB, Christien Hawks Christien Hawks 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL Norton County | 2021 State KS , Norton County; and QB, Jake Wolff Jake Wolff 6'2" | 213 lbs | QB Blue Valley | 2021 KS , Blue Valley.
