Sam Buck Sam Buck 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Highland | 2021 IL (Highland HS)- Good height and weight, buff, proportioned with definition. Shows the ability to play in both a Zone or Man scheme, but is going to be most successful within a Man scheme. In Man, good get off and punch off snap. Quickly gets hands inside to chest plate of defenders, shows good UOH throughout block, and has vice grip hands. Very good play strength at POA in order to move defenders with very good leg drive, along with upper body strength to control defender. Good agility and hip fluidity to open and pull, along with good burst to the second level. Very good body control in order to breakdown and square up a defender in open spaces. In Zone, good lateral quickness off snap to beat defenders across their face. Maintains very good play strength in order to turn out defenders and seal hole. Displays solid foot quickness to the outside, and has the agility to scrape down the LOS. Overall, a very good prospect. A very powerful G who has a lot of potential as he continues to grow.
Wes Moore (Rochester HS)- Solid height and weight, buff, trim, proportioned with some definition. Shows the ability to play in both Man and Zone. In Man, gets off the ball, and shows good punch and leg drive. Works a lot of ACE blocks, and down blocks. Solid play strength at the LOS, can seal hole, and hold ground. Good hip fluidity and lateral movements in order to open and pull, can get all the way around the D gap. Good body control to breakdown to defenders, and maintain good hand punch, along with good leg drive. In Zone, good lateral quickness to beat OL across face, and can use hands to turn and seal defender. Solid foot quickness and agility to open and scrape down the LOS. In Pass Pro, good get off, and solid footwork off snap. Maintains good base, and couples it with good UOH in order to control chest of defender. Solid play strength to finish block when defender loses leverage. The concern with Pass Pro is going to be anchoring ability vs. larger DT one on one. Overall, a solid prospect who is a bit of a tweener due to size right now, between C or G. He also has experience at T throughout his HS career. He may be better suited for C at the next level, as it would aid in his Pass Pro ability.
Damaurius Stewart (St. Laurence HS)- Solid height and good weight, thick, proportioned with some definition. He is going to be strictly a Man player within the run game. He shows solid get off, and UOH. Can get into chest plate quickly, and shows very good play strength. He can overpower defenders with good leg drive and upper body push to finish. Solid burst and mobility to get up to the second level, can square up LBs. In Pass Pro, solid get off and foot movement, mainly going to be stationary. Solid UOH, mainly relies on good play strength to overpower defenders. That is the main concern with Stewart is that some of the technical aspects of the position have been neglected, due to him being strong enough to make up for mistakes to this point. Overall, a good player that needs some work to completely develop. He has experience at both G or T.
