2021 Western PA FCS/D-II Pro-Style QB’s
Are you still looking for a signal-caller for the 2021 class? Here are 5 Pro-Style QB’s I think are FCS to D-II players.
Alex Arledge Alex Arledge 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Burrell | 2021 PA , Quarterback 6’3 200 – Burrell HS
Junior Season Analysis: Alex has good size. He has a high, tight, quick release. He has a good arm. He is athletic, can escape the pocket if he needs to. Has good ball speed. He shows to be accurate in the pocket and on the run. He had a productive junior season with 2,462 yards with 30 touchdowns. Alex is a good player, kind of surprised he has no offers. I think he is an FCS quarterback, who has potential of being a lower level FBS quarterback if he shows to have a great senior year.
Luke Persinger Luke Persinger 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Montour | 2021 PA , Quarterback 6’3 190 – Montour HS
Junior Season Analysis: Luke has good size. He shows a high, tight, quick release with good delivery. He has a good arm and shows toughness, stands in the pocket to deliver a throw knowing he’ll get hit. He shows to be accurate in the pocket and on the run. He is athletic enough to escape the pocket. I think he is an FCS quarterback, who has potential of being a lower level FBS quarterback if he shows to have a great senior year.
Calvin German Calvin German 6'0" | 150 lbs | QB Clarion Area | 2021 PA , Quarterback 6’0 150 – Clarion Area HS
Junior Season Analysis: Calvin is undersized. Has a high, tight, quick release with good delivery. He has a pretty good arm, does underthrow the ball at times. Looks like he is accurate. Looks athletic. Shows good touch on the ball. He had a productive junior season with 2,349 yards and 32 touchdowns. He has no offers. Even though he is undersized, I think Calvin would be a good D-II quarterback.
Tamar Sample, Quarterback 6’3 216 – Cathedral Prep
Junior Season Analysis: Tamar has good size and frame. He has a high, tight, quick release. He shows to be accurate but looks to have a slow delivery. Arm strength is a concern, underthrows receivers a lot when wide open. He is athletic, but don’t believe he is a complete threat in the run game. He only has started 5 games. His junior season had 713 yards and 13 touchdowns with 340 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. I expect him to improve his senior season. Tamar is a good player who I see at the D-II level.
Logan Pfeuffer Logan Pfeuffer 6'0" | 160 lbs | QB Peters Township | 2021 PA , Quarterback 6’2 180 – Peters Township HS
Junior Season Analysis: Logan has good size. He shows a high, tight quick release, with good delivery. He has a good arm but concerned about his accuracy, receivers have to adjust to the ball a lot of the time. He does not show to be all that athletic but is athletic enough to escape the pocket and can make some plays with his legs. He had a productive junior season with 2,451 yards and 25 touchdowns. Logan holds D-III offers and one D-II offer. In my opinion, I think he is a D-III player, but if he improves his accuracy, he could be a D-II quarterback.
