- QB Donaven McCulley Donaven McCulley 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Lawrence North | 2021 State IN – Lawrence North
Passing for 5 TD’s and running for 1 more, McCulley showed off both his arm and his legs against Avon week 1. He finished 9-13 passing for 248 yards and rushed for 157 yards. When I turned on the film, I couldn’t help but think he has the chance to be a star in college. Everything from his passing mechanics and running ability, to his pocket presence looked effortless. The Indiana coaching staff has to be fired up to see the caliber of player that they will have on campus a year from now.
- DB Chris Williamson – Brownsburg
The Brownsburg defense came out hot and held Ben Davis to only 7 points. Williamson racked up with 2 interceptions on the night, including one that was brought back far into Ben Davis territory. When you turn on the film, you see how instinctive Williamson is, and what an impressive job he does of reading the QB. If Williamson can continue to force turnovers and Brownsburg plays defense like this, they will be an extremely dangerous team.
- ATH Rylan Cole Rylan Cole 6'0" | 183 lbs | DB Mount Vernon | 2021 State IN – Mt Vernon
Rylan put in work on all three phases of the game, while helping Mount Vernon to a 42-17 week one win. It is not very often that you see a player throw a TD pass, return a punt for a TD, and have multiple tackles on defense. The Indiana State commit showed his incredible versatility and why he is a D1 scholarship player right off the bat. Cole should have a chance to play right when he steps on campus because of his ability to make an impact on special teams. He has a bright future on the field!
- RB Devin Mockobee Devin Mockobee 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Boonville | 2021 State IN – Boonville
The opening to his Sr season was one that dreams are made of. Mockobee averaged an incredible 12.6 yards per carry, scored 5 touchdowns, and rushed for 202 yards during the 48-6 victory. With a great combination of size, speed, and big play ability… defenses are going to have a handful with him every single week. When you turn on the film it is easy to see why Navy recruited him for their style of offense. What may be more impressive is that he has the skill-set to be just as good on the defensive side of the ball. I expect big things out of Devin this season and beyond.
- Carmel Offensive Line
When a team has four rushers with over 30 yards and rushes for 3 TD’s, you know the offensive line is doing their job. Carmel was able to establish the line of scrimmage and work their way down the field a few yards at a time. With a number of standouts and the ability to control the trenches, the Carmel offensive line could lead the way for them this season. Defensive lines better be ready for a physical battle each and every week when playing Carmel.
