These players may have measure in at a smaller size, but their play speaks for itself. College evaluators tend to have a rule of thumb when evaluating smaller, skilled players: the smaller they are, the faster and more skilled they have to be. This has proven to be true time, and time again. While a majority of the smaller players across the state of Georgia who play out of their mind have already found themselves to receive a large amount of attention, it is our pleasure to present some of our favorite, most underrated WR prospects in the state’s 2022 class who we feel have a high ceiling, and who play way bigger than their listed size!
Kamryn Perry Kamryn Perry 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Marietta | 2022 State GA – 5’9 160- Marietta
One of the things that stands out right away from Kamryn Perry Kamryn Perry 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Marietta | 2022 State GA ’s film is his ability to be very quick, with a twitch that allows him to shake defenders, and gain yards after the catch. Not only does he show flashes of long speed, but he has short area quickness as well. This allows for him to be very effective in his team’s short passing game. Perry catches the ball well with his hands as well, but one thing we definitely want to see more of is his ability to run intermediate routes that utilize his feet and display his true ability to run routes. Perry is beginning to gain some attention, as he has received camp invites. We believe the reason he has not received more attention is due to college coaches desires to see, and confirm his developing measurables.
Adarrius Harshaw Adarrius Harshaw 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Cherokee | 2022 State GA – 5’9 150- Cherokee
Out of all of players within this group, we are most surprised that Adarrius Harshaw Adarrius Harshaw 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Cherokee | 2022 State GA has not seen more attention than he has. Despite his size and frame, he has proven to be very fast, and that his feet can help redirect him well in the short game. He also catches the ball cleanly, and with strong hands. With this, he has also displayed a great catch radius. Because he is a younger prospect, we hope to see him continue to develop in his ability to change direction, because this will make all the difference in his developing route running ability. If he can do this, we have no doubt that he will begin to break out.
Ryan Hill- 5’10 165 Roswell
Ryan Hill, a prospect out of Roswell High School, while small, still happens to be the biggest player out of this list. He measures in at 5’10, 165 pounds, and it should come as no shocker that he finds a way to make this work for him despite his size. Hill has already seen himself to be an integral part of Roswell’s offense, as he not only plays WR, but finds himself taking snaps at RB as well. Hill constantly finds ways to contribute to his team, and gain necessary yards. While we question his balance at times, we have seen him utilize his unique burst, and good hands. He catches the ball cleanly and with his eyes. Because of these things, he is able to be an efficient weapon for his teams offense, which has resulted in him already having success as a 2022 prospect. If he can continue to work on his movement skills, and ability to be fluid, he can see himself start to get attention from small schools during the 2020 season.
