The initial Kansas Prep Redzone player ranking for the Class of 2022 went 100 players deep. Here is a preview of some of the top lineman in that class.
Nathan Carter Nathan Carter 6'2" | 260 lbs | DL Wichita NW | 2022 State KS , 6’2”, 265, Wichita Northwest (Ranked No. 7) – Carter benefits by working against some of the best competition in practice. Northwest is loaded with talent. Carter plays tackle on offense but also plays nose guard on defense. He’s strong as an ox and runs a 4.70 offer. There will be several college programs hoping that Carter chooses them to play for.
Alex Key Alex Key 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Derby | 2022 State KS , 6’3”, 260, Derby (Ranked No. 8) – Key is a big young man and should continue to mold his football frame with two more seasons of high school ball. He has a strong first step, can pull, and does an excellent job of sealing of opposing defensive ends.
Sam Culp Sam Culp 6'5" | 245 lbs | OL Sedgwick | 2022 State KS , 6’5”, 225, Sedgwick (Ranked No. 11) – Don’t let the small school fool you, because there is nothing small about Culp. At 6’5” and 225 pounds this offensive tackle still has football growth ahead of him and would also start at much larger schools. Commitment to the weight room will only make him stronger and put a bigger recruiting target on his back.
Danny Saili Danny Saili 6'4" | 330 lbs | DL Topeka | 2022 State KS , 6’3”, 330, Jefferson West (Ranked No. 12) – Saili plays with a mean streak. Another product of a smaller school Saili is not a player to sleep on. He has been working out in the weight room and making the combine and workout circuits to get bigger and stronger. He already is a good pass blocker and will get better.
Kevyan Stallings Kevyan Stallings 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Wichita NW | 2022 State KS , 6’0”, 244, Wichita Northwest (Ranked No. 17) – Stallings is yet another two-way Grizzly player to crack the rankings. He is a little shorter and lighter than his teammate Carter which makes him a great fit to play guard. Stallings is still young and could grow into the tackle position. Regardless his future in football is bright.
