Continue ReadingI attended the Carolina eXperience Prep Football Showcase held at the Matthews Sportsplex on July 31, 2020. Several players whom I have been working with participated in the camp to generate recruiting interest. The players are being overlooked but are incredibly talented players that should already have multiple D-1 schools interests/offers. The players performed at the D-1 level throughout the Showcase.
Will Hawkins, WR 6’4”, 205. Heritage HS- Hawkins, a big WR is a combination of speed, quickness, and powerful hands. Will runs his passing routes with precision and catches the ball in his hands. Will has the instinct to separate from the defender at the line of scrimmage. The Class of 2022 Prospect is on a Pre-Season All-State Team.
Broderick Gooch, WR, FS 6’0”, 190. Heritage HS – Gooch uses his athleticism to play both sides of the ball. Gooch is a dual threat as a quick and powerful WR and a physical free safety. Gooch is a high energy athlete who gives maximum effort on every snap. The Class of 2022 Prospect is on a Pre-Season All-State Team.
Anthony Kestler, G, DT 6’2”, 330. New Bern HS – Kestler looked impressive while participating in the drills. Anthony is a big, mobile lineman with quick feet. A solid prospect for multiple FCS programs. Kestler is a Class of 2021 Prospect.
Josh Benton, QB, 6’1”, 180. Jacksonville HS – Benton performed well during the QB drills. Benton is a natural athlete who can run and possesses a strong arm. A solid prospect for multiple D-2 programs and possibly some FCS programs. Benton is a Class of 2022 Prospect who excels on the basketball court, also.
