Get to Know Durelle Hall
Hall started off by telling us how he has great strength as far as a football player and it shows when you watch him in person, as he doesn’t have film on Hudl as of yet. When Hall has watched his routes after the fact this summer, he can see the improved footwork, hands, and increase power he has in his legs from when he started his offseason program.
Favorites About Hall’s Positions
“I love to catch the football,” Hall said about what makes him tick at the wide receiver position, as he gets the adrenaline rush when the ball is in his hands. Hall also said how playing wide receiver is all about how much technique you put into it, as he’s worked a lot with technique this offseason.
College Interest/Elevator Pitch
“I have some JUCOs and Division III programs texting me,” Hall said about his recruitment from around the Midwest, as he has just started the process as far as recruitment.
As for my elevator pitch question, Hall had this to say to the college coaches that might be listening to his response.
I have good leadership skills and I always continue to work hard. If we are running 20-yard sprints, I am running it with my all the entire time, not just letting up at the last second. I have that drive to keep going, and that’s what I will bring to your program.
Offseason Work Ons
“I’ve been working on my footwork, as my coaches told me,” Hall told PrepRedzone.com but he has also found his own work on he’s been hammering this offseason. “I wanted to increase my stamina,” Hall said. He credits his speed being really good, but his stamina needed some much-needed work this offseason, which he’s given it the attention it needed as he and the Raiders head into the 2020 season. Also has worked on his hand movements as a receiver so he can swipe away hands from those pesky defensive backs!
Durelle’s Mentor
Hall gets his mentorship from his older brother who just got moved to linebacker at Winona State. “My whole life I played football, my big brother was there,” Hall had to say about his mentor who we look forward to watching in the NSIC this season as well!
2020 Goals
“My goal is to start both ways, hopefully, us to get a chance to win a playoff game and get a shot to play at the dome,” Hall said for his 2020 goals with the CDH Raiders. The team goal is to make sure no matter what the circumstances are, the Raiders are ready for the upcoming season.
