This list was determined based on past production, potential and college appeal. Here is a look at the top 10 running backs in Orange County.
5. Jacquez Robertson, Mission Viejo, 2021
Robertson is a jack-of-all-trades type running back who is shifty, fast, powerful and can make plays in the passing game. He had 136 yards and four touchdowns in a win against Capo Valley and rushed for 832 yards on the season. He had 15 rushing touchdowns and could have had more but Mission Viejo likes to give Easton Mascarenas Easton Mascarenas 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Mission Viejo | 2021 State CA the ball inside the five-yard line. Robertson has offers from Northern Colorado and San Diego State and will likely see offers pour in as he produces during his senior year.

4. Marceese Yetts Marceese Yetts 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2021 State CA , Mater Dei, 2021
Yetts is the No. 2 ranked uncommitted running back according to Prep Redzone and definitely has one of the highest upsides of any running back on this list. He led Mater Dei in rushing last season with 578 yards, but split carries with Quincy Craig Quincy Craig 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2022 State CA and quarterback Bryce Young ran the ball frequently. He had six touchdowns and four 100 plus yard games at Narbonne as a sophomore. Yetts has five offers including: Air Force, Howard, Kansas, Syracuse and Yale.

3. Mitch Leigber Mitch Leigber 6'1" | 205 lbs | DB Laguna Hills | 2021 State CA , Laguna Hills, 2021
Leigber is committed to Stanford as a safety, but he is just as impressive as a running back. He rushed for 963 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was also effective in the receiving game, catching 32 balls for 510 yards and 10 touchdowns. Leigber is the best player in recent school history and it’s because of him that Laguna Hills is the favorite to win the Pacific Coast League this season. He is also the only player in the top four to stay at his local school and not transfer.
2. Samuel Green Samuel Green 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Huntington Beach | 2021 State CA , Huntington Beach, 2021
Chris Street, a Cal signee, was supposed to steal the show for JSerra last season but it was the unknown junior Green who ended up being the leading rusher. He rushed for 7.1 yards per carry and seven touchdowns. Green also showed promise as a kick returner, with a 99-yard opening kickoff return touchdown against Bishop Amat and an 86-yard kick return against St. John Bosco. He has since transferred to Huntington Beach along with teammates Zamajay Duncan Zamajay Duncan 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Lincoln | 2021 State CA and Treyce Warren and the arrival of those three makes the Oilers a playoff contender. Green is committed to UNLV.
That dude Sammy Green is one of the best running backs in SoCal.

1. Raleek Brown Raleek Brown 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2022 State CA , Mater Dei, 2022
Brown is a newcomer to OC, transferring to Mater Dei (shocking) from Edison High in Stockton. He rushed for 996 yards on just 95 carries with 16 touchdowns as a sophomore last season. He also had 667 yards receiving and 9 touchdowns for the Vikings. Some recruiting sites have him as the top running back in the nation in the class of 2022 and he is ranked No. 18 overall according to 247Sports. He has countless offers and recruiting analysts project Oklahoma as the heavy favorite to land Brown. Mater Dei will have an elite running game Brown, Yetts and Quincy Craig Quincy Craig 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2022 State CA in the backfield. But expect Brown to get the lion’s share of the touches.
