I first learned about one of Harrisburg’s top prospects from one of our colleagues in Illinois, Jacob Lemming, who had some great things to say about 2022 QB Jacob Knuth from a combine he attended in Illinois. Knuth was one of the first kids to reach out to us on Twitter and said, “We really need you guys out here to show to football America that we are not just a cow pasture.” After that, I knew I needed to dive into the Harrisburg Tigers more, and what did I found out? This is a football program that has been pressing for a football title in South Dakota since 1999, and this year with all their weapons across the board, they might have an excellent chance to make a run.
Although they dropped a tough one to Sioux Falls Roosevelt last week and are now 4-1, I still think they have a strong chance to get to Vermillion to compete for a state championship with probably: Roosevelt.

THE PROSPECT LIST
These are the names you need to know from the Tigers on the recruiting trail, as there is a lot of next-level talent on this roster from the Sioux Falls suburb.
QB- The best quarterback tandem in the state if you ask me.
Jacob Knuth (2022)
This won’t be the first or last time we talk about Knuth, so I’ll keep it short and to the point: This kid is a Power 5 talent.
Jack Teigen (2021)
Teigen just lost out on Knuth’s quarterback battle this season, but I firmly believe this kid would be starting on near any roster in South Dakota. Teigen has a definite touch on football, and I think he can play football at the college level.
RB
Anders Clayton (2021)
Clayton had almost 1100 all-purpose yards last year. Good cutter when getting thru the rushing lanes. No offers to date.
WR- You certainly don’t have to worry about size at wideout for these Tigers; two of their three wide receivers stand right at 6’3.
Carter Bahrenfuss (2022)
Andrew Walter (2022)
Ethyn Rollinger (2021)
What do I like about Rollinger? He has a lot of quirk in his routes. He makes quick turns that throw a secondary off guard, and it’s right before the balls coming his way in which he can get in position to then make a play on the thrown ball.
Skyler Wodzinski (2022)
No Recent Tape.
TE
Aiden Foley (2023)
OL- This offensive line averages about 6’3-6’4 295 pounds across the board, and it’s tough to find that sized line across the board anywhere.
Ethan Headlee (2021)
Headlee has been a hot commodity in the Northern Sun this week after logging mostly Division III and NAIA offers. I can’t imagine why his massive frame and strong work ethic in the trenches wouldn’t sell anyone on Headlee.
Mason Jacobson (2022)
Jordan Larsen (2022)
Josh Larsen (2022)
DL
Christian Heerde (2022)
LB
Ayden Viox (2022)
Viox has a quick first step to the ball and a motor to the 100% football worth watching. I like the way Viox positions himself to get the best view of the football on the line. His speed off the line is solid. I think as a junior could develop more burst when he is in pursuit of a ball carrier. Has some Division II interest come on September 1st.
Cade Larson (2022)
Gabe Gulbranson (2021)
DB
Lincoln Boetel (2021)
Boetel committed to Augustana in Sioux Falls just a few weeks back. Boetel has a great backpedal at safety, and it’s no surprise the Augies jumped on that in mid-September. His vision of making a play is also substantial.
Kai Yungbluth (2022)
No recent tape.
Kamen Hudson (2021)
Hudson is a little speed demon in the Tigers secondary. He just flies to the football with all that torque he has. Maybe undersized, but deserves a chance after getting some junior day interest in March taken away from him.
