Last Friday at Mullen High School, a group of coaches, trainers and timers that included Athletafied and Pivotal Sports Performance hosted a free combine for high school seniors to record verified times and marks to send to coaches.

Prospects in the Class of 2021 like Ralston Valley linebacker Will LesterWillLester5'11" | LBRalston Valley | 2021StateCO, who has an offer from Missouri Western State, have seen their recruitment slowed by a coronavirus-related combination of dead periods, the postponement of Colorado’s football season to the spring and a lack of camps or other opportunities to show what they can do. Lester and many others were grateful for Friday’s event and a chance to get measured and add 40-yard dash, broad jump, shuttle and vertical leap numbers to their recruiting resumes.

“This is just making the best of what it is,” Lester said. “If we don’t have a season, you know, at least these people were out here and are nice enough to put this on for us to give us something. You just have to play with the cards you’re dealt and this should help us.”
