Matt Quetel Matt Quetel 5'10" | RB Phillipsburg | 2021 State NJ | Phillipsburg
Quetel had a monstrous junior year with 1,302 yards and 16 touchdowns. He broke out in the third game of the season with 212 yards and four touchdowns against Hunterdon Central. he showed a great burst and reliability with the ball in his hands. He finished with double-digit carries in each game.
Chris Bell Chris Bell 5'11" | RB West Essex | 2021 State NJ | West Essex
Bell was a scoring machine as a junior with 19 touchdowns. He is a duel-threat back who could also catch the ball out of the backfield. Bell carried West Essex’s offense and will continue to do so as a senior.
Max George Max George 5'11" | RB Middlesex | 2021 State NJ | Middlesex
George is a two-sport standout at Middlesex. He scored nine touchdowns last season and will have an even bigger role this season. Heading into 2020, Middlesex will feature George in their backfield quite a bit.
Jaiden Abrams Jaiden Abrams 5'11" | RB Hammonton | 2021 State NJ | Hammonton
Abrams put up incredible numbers as a junior with 1,843 yards and 19 touchdowns. He carried the ball 270 times and rushed for over 100 yards in all but one game. Hammonton rode Abrams during the season because of his strong hands and ability to find the hole in the defense. Abrams is an elite prospect and one to keep an eye on in 2020.
Frank Riggio Frank Riggio 5'8" | RB Verona | 2021 State NJ | Verona
There were many top rushers in the state last season but Verona may have had the best in their backfield. Riggio finished with 2,0555 yards and 37 touchdowns. He rushed for 200 or more yards four times including a huge 268 yard, four touchdowns performance against Cedar Grove. Riggio also lit up Kinnelon for 314 yards and six scores. He is extremely difficult to take down in the open field because of his strength and elusiveness.
