Here is a scouting report and a summary of some of the top 8M performances from games played on September 25.
Colin Jueneman Colin Jueneman 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB Hanover | 2021 State KS , Hanover, (’21 Ranked No. 169) – Junenman is one of the highest-ranked 8M players in Kansas. The senior had 180 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground in Hanover’s 62-12 win over Axtell on September 25.
Alex Herbel Alex Herbel 6'0" | 160 lbs | QB Solomon | 2021 KS , Solomon, (’21 Ranked No. 256) – The Solomon Gorillas rolled over Herington 48-0 behind the play of their quarterback, Herbel. The senior dual-threat QB threw for four touchdowns and rushed for two more. He finished with 122 yards passing and 122 yards rushing in the contest.
Mason Schurr, Osborne – Osborne, a junior running back, continued his outstanding season rushing for 154 yards and four touchdowns in a 60-6 win over Rock Hills. Schur now has a scored 10 total touchdowns on the ground in four games. Just a junior Schurr currently projects as an NAIA or JUCO college talent.
Caden Dugan, Chetopa – Chetopa defeated Altoona-Midway 56-8. Dugan, a senior quarterback, threw three touchdowns and rushed for two more. At 6’1 he could play QB or WR at the next level, which would be a the JUCO level. Dugan had his best passing game of the season against the Jets completing 10-of-13 attempts for 244 yards.
Brayden Perez, St. John’s/Tipton – Perez had a big game on offense and defense in Blujays 70-24 win over Southern Cloud. Perez rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns on offense. He added seven tackles from his linebacking position and has accumulated 43 tackles early in the season. Perez is a must look for recruiters looking for an athlete that contribute right away as a special teams player.
Carter Brian, Cair Paravel (Topeka) – The junior quarterback threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-46 loss to Sunrise Christian Academy. Brian has now thrown for over 1,000 yards in three games for the Lions. He could be a player that breaks into the Class of 22 rankings the next time they are updated. Brian has a big arm that can torch teams in eight-man contests.
