Strengths: Glover is a solid football player who has plenty of room to grow. He know’s some of this weak points (has to get stronger and get better footwork) but he also has some aspects of the game he does very well. Glover has good mobility, throws very well out of the pocket on the run, is sneaky athletic and can move the chains with his feet when plays break up. He makes good reads pre-snap, like during his frame touchdown throw against Anna-Jonesboro, where he read the defense’s alignment, and he told me he got the ball out quick so that his wide receiver could react to his blockers. Arm strength is good, not great, but close range accuracy is very good. Glover reads the game well and takes calculated risks, one of his interceptions was at the end of a half, knowing there wasn’t enough time to sustain any sort of drive. Glover shows good leadership skills.
Weakness: At this point in time Glover’s body has yet to mature, but he is well aware of that. At just 165-pounds, for him to be able to withstand hits from larger players at the next level, Glover will have to add more muscle to his frame. Living in the weight room for the next four months would be very helpful for Glover. He sometimes gets his feet tangled up on some throws, which leads to short arming them and missing his target. Glover’s accuracy in deeper throws needs to get better.
Projection: This coming junior year will be huge for Glover. He is taking the fall to improve on his strength and speed (also plays basketball and track for Benton). If Glover is able to take the next step in his development, ie getting his completion percentage closer to 65%, throwing for over 2,000 yards, and keeping his INT’s down, he could be an option for FCS schools.
