Here are a few standout performances across the state from this past weekend.
Brock Vandagriff Brock Vandagriff 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Prince Avenue Christian School | 2021 State GA – Prince Avenue Christian
The future Georgia Bulldog and 5-star QB went 13/16 for 251 yards and four touchdowns in a big win over Holy Innocents. He showed a big arm, accuracy, mobility, and big play ability. He led the Wolverines to touchdown drives on every drive except the final drive that ended the game.
J.C. French J.C. French 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Wesleyan | 2022 State GA – Blessed Trinity
It’s rare when you see a QB have zero incompletions in one game, but J.C French made it happen over the weekend. He only threw 8 passes, but he completed each one for 262 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-32 win over Kell. French’s recruitment still hasn’t taken off yet, but if he has more games like he did last Friday, offers could start coming in sooner than later.
Gunner Stockton Gunner Stockton 6'1" | 220 lbs | QB Rabun County | 2022 State GA – Rabun County
The elite North Georgia star proved once again why he’s considered a 5-star prospect and one of the nation’s best in the 2022 class. Stockton was 17/25 for 252 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 20 times for 145 yards and four more touchdowns. The future South Carolina Gamecock is on pace for a record-setting career and will be tough to stop for any defense over the next two seasons.
Dylan Lonergan Dylan Lonergan 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Brookwood | 2023 State GA – Brookwood
The Brookwood Broncos continue to roll thanks to a fantastic start from sophomore QB Dylan Lonergan Dylan Lonergan 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Brookwood | 2023 State GA . The 2023 star was 19/26 for 256 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 75-yard touchdown dropped by one of his receivers. Through the first 3 games, Lonergan is 70/102 for 1,001 yards with 9 touchdowns and 2 INTs. He’s also rushed 11 times for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Jacurri Brown Jacurri Brown 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Lowndes | 2022 State GA – Lowndes
The four-star from South Georgia continues to improve each week and has led the Vikings to an impressive 4-0 start. In a big 38-13 win over Lee County, Brown scored on a 65-yard touchdown, 40-yard rushing touchdown, and 8-yard rushing touchdown, and a 39-yard passing touchdown. Brown is an excellent runner, and as his arm develops, he’ll grow into one of the top quarterbacks in the country.
RJ Johnson – Westlake
There’s a new QB prospect to know in the 2023 class and it’s the 6-foot-2 190-pounder from Westlake. After an impressive summer in the camp circuit, Johnson is off to a quick start this fall. In a 21-7 win over Johns Creek, Johnson went 22/37 for 344 yards and one touchdown.
