Hall is an emerging star entering his sophomore year after a strong freshman campaign that landed him third in the country in rushing yards for the class of 2023. He has great vision and awareness that allow him to find open space where he is extremely difficult to tackle one on one. He’s a strong ball carrier that shows good balance and ability to run through contact. He has plus quickness and lateral cut ability to avoid defenders with the top end speed to finish off long gains. He’s one of the top young backs not only in the NCS but all of California and will be one to watch as he continues to develop and grow.
7. Ivan Robledo, 2022, 5’11″ 210 lbs., Saint Helena HS
As a sophomore Robledo led the NCS in rushing with 2,132 yards and 33 touchdowns averaging 194 yards per game and 10.8 yards per carry. He’s a natural football player with the versatility to play both sides of the ball at the college level. A downhill runner that is very physical but also has the ability to make people miss in the open field using his quick lateral agility and a very effective jump cut. He has good acceleration once he’s in space with plus top end speed that allows him to run away from defenders. Some colleges will recruit him as a linebacker but he has flown under the radar so far out of small school Saint Helena.
8. Donte Searcy, 2021, 5’9″ 185 lbs., Berkeley HS
At 5’9” 185 lbs. he’s a good all-around back that does a lot of things well. He has a strong compact frame with good short range acceleration and burst. He’s a well balanced ball carrier that runs with good pad level and leverage and colleges will love his ability to drive through contact and break tackles. He’s a versatile athlete that is very effective in the passing game with strong hands out of the backfield and a good ability to create separation. Searcy picked up his first offer from D2 Eastern New Mexico in early August but is considerably under recruited given his upside and potential. Expect him to start climbing recruiting boards with a big upcoming season.
9. Jordan Lee, 2021, 5’10 165 lbs. Freedom HS
Lee is explosive with the ball in his hands and is a well rounded all-purpose back. He’s a very good natural athlete that shows plus speed, quickness, and vision. He possesses good acceleration and start/stop speed that makes him very elusive in the open field. He’s a very solid receiver coming out of the backfield and shows strong and confident hands on both short designed screens and down field routes. He’s a bit of a sleeper coming into his senior year, a guy that would’ve benefitted from a normal offseason where he could have showcased his talents at camps but his ability should speak for itself if he continues on his upward trajectory.
10. Samari White, 2021, 5’9” 165 lbs., Bethel HS
An explosive versatile athlete that can play all over the field and is threat to take it all the way every time he touches the ball. Has good breakaway speed and shows he can get to that top end speed quickly. Impressive wiggle and elusiveness in open space to make defenders miss and can turn short gains into long gains all by himself. He’s a do-it-all football player that can help a team in a lot of different ways at the next level whether it be on offense, defense, or special teams.
