I’m a big fan of Whipple as it’s rare to see a big man possess such coordination and overall athleticism. Watch how smooth he is on the basketball floor and you see a kid with an unlimited ceiling. Holden broke out as a Sophomore earning 2nd team all-conference honors and never looked back
The returning Pacific Conference POY is legit. He may not have the prototypical size of an LB who major D1s would recruit, but his film speaks for itself. Hands down the hardest hitter in the state. He is my favorite to earn Oregon 6A defensive player of the year honors heading into next season.
Most are aware of KSJ coming from a prominent football family, with his father Don Johnson Jr. coaching with the Ducks. If Drew CarterDrewCarter

sticks around to play the season instead of bouncing to Colorado, expect Keenan to get the ball 8-10 times a game and break records.
Expect Mannion to go off when given the opportunity. Most are aware of the Mannion genes, being the son of head coach John Mannion, and brother of NFL QB and former Oregon St star Sean Mannion. Brian broke out late last year, helping the Mavericks beat an undefeated and #1 ranked Tigard team in the playoffs. I don’t think people quite understand how good he is going to be. As of right now I would put him in the conversation for Oregon 6A player of the year honors.
King keeps a low profile and is an incredibly humble kid. That said as he is a freak athlete who started both ways as a Sophomore, earning all conference honors and a state title for the Rams. His ability to play on both sides of the ball at the highest level is very appealing, to go with his overall athleticism and prowess on the basketball floor.
This trio of athletes will help lead the #1 ranked 6A team in the state. Each of them is ranked nationally by 247 Sports and come with legit size, and the tools necessary to thrive at the D1 level. Duea earned honorable mention all conference honors on both sides of the ball, while Debisschop and Schiele could blow up once they obtain some game film.
Another kid that comes from a football family as the son of Western Oregon head coach Arne Ferguson. Brooks started as a freshman at Central HS before making the transfer to West this year. It is up in the air as to what position he will play, with returning standout Jackson LoweryJacksonLowery

at quarterback, but Ferguson is a three-sport athlete with all the tools.
One of the fastest rising athletes in the state of Oregon. Slade should absolutely dominate 5A competition after earning 1st team all league honors last season. Physically Shufelt is gifted. He has done a great job of getting himself out there on the camp circuit, with this being a must, if playing against NWOC competition.
Maybe the fastest rising pair of teammates in Oregon who some folks might not know about. Waible grew a few inches over the off season after an outstanding Sophomore campaign which saw him earn TRL honorable mention all-conference honors. Tovey has impressive size and tests off the charts. Both kids look like two of the top players in the state for the 2022 class.
