Not only that’s his favorite meal of the day, but that also what he does on the field in the last three seasons with the Bullpups. However, this season will be a tad different for the senior. Scott will be the new starting center in week one.
Scott has been a two-year starter for the Bullpups at guard and has received all-state honors for each of those years. He even played a little bit of tackle when needed, but Scott never played center before. The coaches believed Scott was suited for the center spot and it could benefit him down the road when college scouts pop the tape and see his versatility.

“I have the feet to do it, and Coach Cochran believed I had the feet to do it and it could help me with my recruiting,” Scott said. “It’s difficult getting used to it but I think it’s going to help the team.”
Scott had his ups and downs in learning a new position as tries to perfect his snaps and getting on the same page with his quarterback, Dylan Rinker. Yet, Scott’s fluid in his feet and his natural physicality has been up to par. Once he gets technique down, Scott could be an unstoppable force inside. Scott is also expected to be one of the team leaders while anchoring McPherson’s front.
This season, McPherson’s offensive line could be something to watch, considering it might be one the biggest front head coach Jace Pavlovich has ever assembled. Four of five are returning as starters and they weighed an average of 250. For Scott, listed at 6’2 260 pounds, he is looking forward to anchoring a strong unit this season.
“We’re big, strong and aggressive,” Scott said. “ All of us have good feet and we’re ready to work. We’re ready to be aggressive and get a lot of pancakes.”
