LINCOLN CHRISTIAN BULLDOGS

– 2021 – Linebacker
Lincoln Christian’s defense was absolutely lights out in the second half on Friday night. They went into the halftime locker room trailing 21-7 and would come out and shutdown the Longhorn offense. One of the key parts of that defense was senior linebacker

. Lincoln uses speed over size on the defensive side of the ball. But one of the more impressive looking prospects on defense is Kaste. The senior has good size and really good speed to be an impressive linebacker prospect. We didn’t know much about his game going into Friday’s clash but he’s definitely on our radar now. Oklahoma’s linebacker class is deep and Kaste is just another example of that unbelievable depth at that position right now.

– 2021 – Offensive Lineman
The Lincoln Christian offense was able to roll in the second half after being limited to just 7 points in the first two quarters. Lincoln did most of their damage running the football and a big reason they got that push up front was because of senior

. The senior primarily lined up at right guard and we like Faulkner as an interior lineman on the offensive side of the ball. Faulkner has good size and did a good job limiting Jones on the line of scrimmage. The Longhorns had a really good defensive line prospect, more on him in a minute. And Faulkner was able to do a good job keeping him in check. Similar to Kaste, Faulkner is on our radar now as an interior lineman with a big upside.

In our opinion the player of the game was Lincoln Christian senior

. On both sides of the ball, Katsis was all over the field. On offense, he caught two touchdowns and did a great job as a pass catcher and a blocker from the wide receiver position. Katsis came into the 2020 season as one of the top returning starters from last year’s championship team. Katsis also had an impact on the defensive side of the ball. Going against one of the top quarterbacks in the state, Katsis was put on an island as a cornerback against a variety of Jones receivers and really did a good job limiting their production. While his future looks the brightest as a wide receiver, we’re not ready to close the book on him as a DB.
Max Brown

– 2022 – Athlete
Lincoln Christian is using two quarterbacks at the moment and it looks like they will continue to do so until one takes over the job. It looks like that could end up being junior Max brown after his performance on Friday night. When he was in the game, this offense had no problems moving up and down the field. Brown certainly isn’t a polished quarterback as his game is to run the ball first. He was very successful at doing just that on Friday night as he ran for several touchdowns in the win. Brown joined the Lincoln Christian program during the offseason and obviously didn’t have spring practice or a regular summer to get ready for this season. But if Friday night was any indication, the future is bright for this junior playmaker.

– 2022 – Quarterback
Going into the game on Friday, Jones junior quarterback

was the highest-rated prospect in the match-up. He showed exactly why, despite losing 35-21. In our opinion, May is the absolute top quarterback prospect in Oklahoma right now. He has prototypical size at 6’5 and brings a variety of tools to the quarterback position. He can throw the ball all over the field, the ball just flies out of his hand and gets to his receiver in a hurry. He also has a great ability to tuck the ball and run, although he keeps the play alive as long as possible, looking for receivers downfield. May had several designed runs and scored a pair of touchdowns on the ground, showing off his ability when he does get loose on the run.

– 2021 – Wide Receiver
We mentioned May as being one of the top quarterbacks in Oklahoma right now. For every great quarterback, you have to have receivers to throw to. Watching him in person and evaluating tape over the last year, you can tell that senior

is without a doubt May’s safety blanket. Whenever a play breaks down, May is usually looking to Reed. The senior wide receiver also helps pad May’s passing stats. he can throw a simple bubble screen to Reed and the speedster turns it into a big gain. Reed was limited in his play on Friday as he came down with a leg injury. But it doesn’t appear to be serious in the long run. Reed is without a doubt one of the top slot weapons at receiver in the 2021 class.
Jack Corbin

– 2022 – Offensive Lineman
Jones fans have to be happy about this season and the future, especially on the offensive side of the ball. They have May at quarterback and anchoring that offensive line for this season and next is
Jack Corbin
Jack
Corbin

. We really liked his performance on Friday night and he looks to be a name to circle in this 2022 class. Corbin has the size to play the tackle position but unless he gets a little quicker, the more natural fit might be on the interior of the line where he can absolutely dominate. Corbin is a name to follow as he can just absolutely flatten opponents. He had a good game against a Lincoln Christian defense that was undersized to handle Corbin. The junior lineman is certainly a prospect who’s stock is going up.

– 2024 – Defensive Tackle
Yes, it’s time to start looking at some 2024 prospects here in Oklahoma. We won’t dive in fully on the class this early because not many get a lot of varsity reps. But Jones defensive tackle

will go down as one of the very first 2024 prospects that we evaluated after seeing him in person. We were impressed with the young bull along that Jones defensive line. You can tell that he’s a freshman and he’s still adjusting and learning to play at this high level. But you can’t help but be impressed with the physical aspect of his game. Correa made several mental mistakes, but once he cleans that up, he’s going to be a nightmare to line up against for opposing offensive linemen. And if he continues to grow, watch out.

is probably the hardest evaluation of both teams on Friday night. Because we’re very conflicted as to what Tucker is at the next level. He showed flashes as a wide receiver to be a big play threat. He has fantastic hands and made some big plays. However, we also like what he’s able to do on the defensive side of the ball and it appears that the defensive side could be his most natural fit. We have Tucker listed as an athlete but we probably like him more as a linebacker when it comes to the college level. For Tucker, it’s a good problem because he appears to be a valuable prospect on both sides of the ball. However, when it comes down to it, we like what he can bring to a defense as a linebacker.
