A lot of times these kids get overlooked because they do not play at big schools, and they deserve the spotlight and the opportunity to be seen by college coaches. Today we look at talent rich South Florida 2A Region 4. Big time players are spotlighted below!
Eli Moore- Southwest Florida Christian c/o 24
6’3 185lbs
Eli Moore may very well become one of the best quarterbacks to ever come out of Florida when it is all said and done! He is a ninth-grade quarterback (also plays baseball) that is more advanced in his mechanics and footwork than a lot of seniors. He has passed for 695 yards and seven touchdowns and completing over 60% of his passes in two games this season! He has five-star potential, he’s highly accurate in the short to intermediate passing game, he gets rid of the ball quickly, has the arm strength to make all throws, and plays with a swagger. The sky’s the limit for Moore. By his senior year he will be able to choose to play anywhere he wants in the country.

Richemard Mellien- First Baptist Academy c/o 23
6’0 180lbs
Mellien is a dual-threat quarterback prospect that has passed for 511 yards and five touchdowns in two games this season, and he is also added 131 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He shows the ability to throw the deep ball with decent accuracy and does a good job biding time in the pocket. As a runner he shows good feet in the hole, cutting ability, and vision to pick up chunks of yards. He’s currently leading his team in rushing, being a sophomore prospect, he will become more polished nd advanced as a passer as he gets older. Mellien currently holds one offer from Liberty University.

Myles Graham- Evangelical Christian c/o 24
5’11 187lbs
Graham is an exceptional athlete going into his ninth-grade season! He runs Evangelical Christians triple-option offense, at the next level he may develop into more of a skill position player. He can throw the ball showing adequate arm strength and good accuracy. In his first game this season he threw for 205 yards and one touchdown, and also added 93 yards rushing. Where he makes his money is running, with a natural low center of gravity and can bounce off contact and he does a nice job of making defenders miss.

Tyous Taylor- Champagnat Catholic
6’3 190lbs
Taylor is a good college quarterback prospect; he currently has one offer from Albright College and has received some interest from Dartmouth. He is a dual-threat quarterback and has a live arm and shows intelligence reading coverages. He can avoid the rush and will make you pay by tucking the ball and running. He does an outstanding job of throwing his receivers open.

Mike Joyce- St. John Neumann
6’0 180lbs
Joyce is a solid small school prospect; he has good athleticism and vision when running the ball out of the spread scheme. As a passer he does not have a huge arm, but he does show accuracy on short, intermediate, and deep throws.

Christian Garnett- Westminster Academy c/o 22
5’10 165lbs
Garnett is a good Prospect for D2, D3, and NAIA. He is accurate with the ball whether he’s staying in the pocket or rolling out, he has good athleticism to get out of the pocket on rollouts or to scramble for yards down field. He does not possess a big arm, but he makes up for with accuracy. When you watch him play you can tell he is a big-time competitor.

Cael Persch- Community School Naples
6’0 170lbs
Persch is a very good athlete, he runs the zone-read exceptionally well and shows good vision and speed (rushed for 139yds in one game this season). He is definitely a small school prospect, shows accuracy in the quick pass game or rolling out of the pocket, he will improvise and make plays downfield whether running with the ball or finding the open receiver. Very good athlete!
