QB Cole Rickerman c/o 22 Festus High School. This young gun led his team past a six year curse. The Tigers have been on a losing streak to Hillsboro since 2014. Rickerman wasn’t fazed by it, for he led the Tigers with 270 passing yards and 2 Tds. That’s not all, Rickerman also filled in for Festus’ running back in the option offense, rushing for 60 Yds and two more scores. He has proven to be a a dog in human form.
LB Sam Schmidt c/o 21 Borgia High School. Borgia may have lost to O’Fallon Christian, but their defense had put up a fight. Schmidt was the ring leader behind it all. Wherever the ball was, he was a heat seeking missile, targeting whoever had it. Schmidt led Borgia’s defense with 10 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a sack. Even though, they fell short, the senior linebacker gave it his all on the field.
LB Jacob Parker c/o 21 Warrington High School. This man played as if the spirit of Ray Lewis himself was inside of him. Parker led the Warriors’ defense with 14 tackles and an interception. Not only he racked up most of the tackles in the game, he also led his team to a victory. The tackling machine controlled the field all around.
QB Cooper Brown Cooper Brown 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Holt | 2022 State MO c/o 21 Holt. The senior quarterback helped his team blow pass Fort Zumwalt West to a 48-28 victory. Brown had put on a college level performance, throwing for 211 yds and 4 Tds. Can you say D1?? This is a performance that could catch many powerhouse college’s attention.
LB Antwon Haydenzz Antwon Haydenzz 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB East St. Louis | 2023 IL c/o 23 Duschene. This is a potential D1 linebacker. It’s not because he’s 6’2 and 205, but because he makes plays as well all around. Hayden recorded 3 tackles, a sack, and an interception. The tackle statistic may be low, but he contributed a lot, helping the Pioneers shut out St Charles to a 38-0 win. Hayden still has more years to develop, and by his senior year, he’ll be more of a force to reckon with.
RB Tyler Oakes Tyler Oakes 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Fort Zumwalt North | 2021 State MO c/o 21 Fort Zumwalt North High School. Not only the Panthers embarrassed their rival East, Oakes had a field day running all over the field. The senior running back ran for 85 yds with 14 yds per carry, and a touchdown. Oakes made the Jaguars question their defense on how to stop him. They were still trying to figure it out the whole night, but unfortunately Oakes made them change their game plan numerous times.
