The state of Georgia welcomed back high school football with open arms this past weekend as the season finally kicked off. The state was full of great games and new prospects emerged with each game. Multiple running backs stole the show this weekend and got their season off to a big start.

Here are a few running backs who had standout performances last weekend.

Daba Fofana - West Forsyth

He's not the biggest guy at 5-foot-9 190-pounds, but the Navy commitment had no problem running through the Mays defense last weekend in a big 42-6 win. Fofana is a patient runner with good agility and lateral movement. He broke tackles with ease and always seems to fall forwards at the end of his runs. He's tough as nails and plays the position the right way. His footwork, quickness, and ability to run behind his pads make him so tough to tackle for opposing defenders. He worked hard in the offseason to perfect his craft and the hard work payed off in game 1 of the season. Fofana ended the day with 13 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns while catching 5 passes for 52 yards and another score.
