Venice Will Be Solid Once Again In 2020
Moments after losing to eventual state 7A champion St. Thomas Aquinas last November, the attention quickly turned to 2020.
With a number of key prospects coming back, head coach John Peacock knew that his Indians would be very special.
With a positive philosophy of hard work and building well-rounded football players, this team – despite the pandemic – had a work ethic instilled that kept each and every player busy and focused.
Knowing that when this program played football, the schedule would be challenging and prepare them for a season where a quality senior class would make a difference.
Opening the year at home against the nation’s top team – IMG Academy – only helped this team work on things that would pay off later in the season.
The Indians routed their next two opponents – Jacksonville Raines (40-6) and Longwood Lyman (70-0) on Thursday night to show that they will indeed one of the elite teams in 7A.
The roster is loaded with outstanding football player who are disciplined and focused on the season ahead.
