Week 1 of high school football in the state of Georgia did not fail to disappoint. While there were a myriad of Corky Kell classic games, one of the most shocking games was North Gwinnett vs McEachern. While both schools have very reputable, and successful football programs, nobody expected North Gwinnett to win as big as they did. The team found themselves with a final score of 35-7.

In this win, one player in particular stood out. That player was Clemson LB commit, Barrett CarterBarrettCarter6'1" | LBNorth Gwinnett | 2021StateGA. Carter did a bit of everything in this game, and showed his versatility, and ability to be effective on both offense, and defense. While on offense, Carter scored a rushing TD off of a direct snap, and also managed to throw a jump pass for a TD.

On the defensive side of the ball, Carter shined, just as he was supposed to. In doing so, Carter continued to show the ability to defend the run, and play the pass at an elite level.
