Here is a scouting report and summary of some of the best rushing performances from Week Two.
Wyatt Ledom, Burlingame – Ledom, a senior, rushed for 178 yards and found the end zone five times in Burlingame’s 60-34 victory over Waverly. Ledom has been timed at 4.81 seconds in the forty and projects as a solid JUCO recruit.
Dakota Barber, Axtell – Barber was productive for the Eagles in a Week 2 48-0 win over Cornerstone Family School. The senior rushed for 133 yards and is looking for college offers.
Blake Goodman, Argonia-Attica – Goodman rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns in the Titans’ 50-0 win over Udall. He played a much larger role in the Titans offense in Week Two. If he continues to improve from week-to-week, then the coaching staff at Oxford better key on him for Week Three.
Tyler Good, Lincoln – Good, a senior, scored four touchdowns and rushed for 149 yards in Lincoln’s 66-6 win over Fairfield. Good has now rushed for 419 yards and eight touchdowns in two games. He follows his blockers and could be a special teams contributor right away in college.
Keiondre Smith, Caldwell – Smith rushed for 265 yards and six touchdowns in Caldwell’s 64-18 victory over South Haven. Smith, a sophomore, plays quarterback for Caldwell. He has been timed in the forty at 4.47 seconds. He could be added to Prep Redzone Kansas’ player rankings for the Class of 2023 the next time they are updated.
Jake Hutchinson, Oswego – Hutchinson rushed for 186 yards in the Indians’ 54-18 win over St. Paul. Hutchinson, a sophomore, is a quick back who can break tackles. He will be a player to watch from the Class of 2023.
