We have another interesting matchup to watch between Pine-Richland’s senior wide receiver Eli JochemEliJochem6'1" | WRPine-Richland | 2021StatePA and Gateway’s junior defensive back Patrick BodyPatrickBody6'2" | DBGateway | 2022StatePA. Eli is being recruited by FCS schools. He shows quickness with good speed but is an average route runner. He is used in the screen game quite a bit. Eli did have a productive junior season and in his first game of the season, he had 3 touchdowns of 40, 54, and 55 yards. In last week’s game against Upper St. Clair, Eli had a 32-yard reception off a screen pass. He would have had another big game but unfortunately, he got injured in the first quarter. Gateway’s junior DB, Patrick is getting attention with FBS offers, including his first Power 5 from Pitt early September. He plays a little bit of safety and corner. When at corner, he shows physicality at the line of scrimmage. He moves well and shows to drop hips with receivers. Patrick does have good ball skills as well. Eli and Patrick are about the same size and both have good speed. This matchup will be determined by who is more physical.
