The playmakers grabbed the attention on Friday night. The World Wide Leader in sports trekked to the North Georgia foothills to capture the collision of two future SEC quarterbacks.
Brock Vandagriff Brock Vandagriff 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Prince Avenue Christian School | 2021 State GA , University of Georgia commit and Gunner Stockton Gunner Stockton 6'1" | 220 lbs | QB Rabun County | 2022 State GA , University of South Carolina faced off indirectly during Prince Avenue Christian School and Rabun County High School’s nationally televised game on Friday.
The two never met on the field, outside the coin toss. They both performed well. The prospects (yes, this week there are two) of the week met on a few occasions.
Logan Johnson Logan Johnson 5'6" | 155 lbs | WR Prince Avenue Christian School | 2021 GA , 5’5” 180 pounds, Wide Receiver, (2021) Prince Avenue Christian School
Johnson is committed to the University of Troy. He grabbed seven receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns on Friday night.
Johnson is routinely one of the smallest players on the field. He has one of the most expressive games and personalities and it helped the Wolverines erase an early deficit and nearly win the football game.
Johnson is electric with the football in his hands. He showed this on a kick return where he stopped on a dime, sending the defending into a swirl as Johnson proceeded to toying with him for another 10 yards before being tackled from by a trailing defender.
The number Johnson puts up don’t just happen. He’s notorious for his work ethic. He’s also got some flair. He showed that on Friday night.
With the Wolverines just beginning their comeback, Johnson scored a touchdown and turned to the student section situated in the endzone and blew a kiss.
The score energized the Wolverines, but the swagger and fearlessness it showcased earned a few laughs and ‘let’s go from the sidelines.’
Johnson had another kiss for a Rabun County High School defender gave him a solid thump as he reached the endzone for a second time.
Adriel Clark Adriel Clark 6'5" | 185 lbs | WR Riverside Military Academy | 2021 GA , 6’4” 200 pounds, Wide Receiver/Safety, (2021) Rabun County High School
Clark has somehow stayed off the recruiting radar. It doesn’t seem he has any P5 offers as of now. He won’t be a secret after Friday.
The size grabs your attention as soon as warmup begin. The game started and number one in black made plays the entire night.
Clark hauled in 10 receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns including the game-winning pass from Stockton.
Clark also played safety for the Wildcats and made plays in coverage and coming up in run defense. Clark is a physical presence on both sides of the ball.
He’s destined or major college football at some point in the future.
