Coming into this season, Owasso wide receiver

was very clearly on our radar. After a breakout season, as a freshman, on a state championship team, you couldn’t help but wonder what Adams would do for an encore. And now that fellow sophomore

has solidified himself as the quarterback for the Rams, the future is certainly bright with this sophomore to sophomore connection starting to grow and will continue to cause havoc over the next few seasons. All the things that led Adams to have a breakout season last year are all the qualities we like about his game. He’s your prototypical slot wide receiver. Size isn’t part of his game. The combination of speed, route running and agility makes him one of the top receivers in the state, regardless of class. We’ve seen too much evidence from receivers like Adams making an impact, that it’s unwise to judge his game on size alone.

– Running Back – Grove
The 2023 class has several running backs in the top 15 overall rankings as it appears to be a position of depth in this year’s class. A player that I believe might be the best of the bunch when it’s all said and done is Grove standout
Emmanuel Crawford

. The Grove standout is a big physical back that has home run speed. He looks to be the most polished prospect at the position right now. He can run in between the tackles and he’s not afraid of contact. And combine that with when he gets out and into the open field, he’s nearly impossible to catch from behind. Grove hasn’t been a major threat in quite some time but Crawford has helped lead them to an undefeated start. We can’t wait to see how Crawford looks when he goes up against top ranked Wagoner on October 30th in a district showdown. The Bulldogs have one of the best rush defenses in the state. But they haven’t seen a running back like Crawford yet.

– Quarterback – Metro Christian
A prospect that I really liked before the 2020 season when it came to potential was Metro Christian quarterback
Kirk Francis

. When we watched his film from last season, we were very impressed with his ability to extend plays with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. The pocket awareness, combined with pure arm talent was very impressive. But it wasn’t at the varsity level yet. We wanted to see how his game would look once he was on the big stage and playing on Friday night’s. And look at the situation he inherited. He had to replace one of the best players in the state last year in Asher Link. He’s leading a team that’s coming off their first state title in school history. And all of those abilities we talked about seeing last year? They’re still there and he’s getting better and better every time he steps on the field. Right now, we have a couple QB’s in the Top 15. Francis could join them by the end of this season.

– Wide Receiver – Bixby
We were told at the start of the season to keep an eye out for a potential breakout star at Bixby in wide receiver

. The young playmaker is also a standout on the basketball floor, but has been waiting to make an impact on the gridiron. It hasn’t taken long for Hasz to become the top target in this Bixby offense, led by senior quarterback
Mason Williams

. Out of all 40 prospects that we have ranked, I think you can make the argument that Hasz is the fastest rising prospect and isn’t slowing down anytime soon. While his longterm projection points to him being more of a tight end rather than receiver, you can’t deny his production lining up all over the field. Hasz is another perfect example of a basketball athlete that has transitioned to becoming a big time football prospect. Bixby is arguably one of the best teams in the state, regardless of class, so Hasz will have plenty of opportunities to make plays throughout the rest of the season.

– Offensive Lineman – Jenks
Our final prospect breakdown is on a player that has his stock going up in two different positions. While we have Jenks lineman

graded as an offensive lineman, he very well could end up being a defensive lineman at the next level. It’s still too early to make a committed judgement on his future position. However, we can’t help but be excited about what White has put on tape so far as an offensive lineman for the Trojans. A rare sophomore starting on the interior of a Jenks O-Line, White has helped the Trojans be one of the top rushing attacks in 6A-D1 so far. White has all the physical tools to become one of the top interior linemen in the state. But again, we can’t deny that he also shows plenty of promise on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive tackle. Either way, White’s combination of size and quickness makes him a great prospect to play on the interior, on either side of the line of scrimmage.
