QB Richard Stallworth, Yuma Catholic, 2023, 6’2” 210 lbs.
Stallworth continued his strong start to the season with a monster game in which threw for over 550 yards in a win over Dysart. He scored seven total touchdowns with five through the air and two on the ground. He shows good pocket presence and patience allowing plays to develop while he scans the field and keeps his feet active. Stands tall in the pocket with a well-balanced platform and strong base. Showed a good ability to make throws at all three levels with accuracy and timing whether it was from the pocket or on the run. Has thrown for over 1,600 yards and 18 TDs with a QBR of 135 in just four games while leading his team to a 4-0 start.

The 2019 Breakout Player of the Year has continued to dominate through the start of the 2020 season. Through four weeks he’s accumulated over 900 scrimmage yards and 14 touchdowns including 363 total yards and four TDs in a win over Mountain Ridge last week. He’s an explosive and versatile athlete that shows a great combination of speed, quickness, and strength. A well-balanced runner with plus acceleration and change of direction makes him very difficult to tackle in space. Team is creative in how they get him touches and he’s a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Has a solid group of offers to date including several Ivy leagues and most recently University of San Diego but is looking to build on that number with a strong senior campaign.
WR Max Minor, Chaparral, 2021, 6’4” 185 lbs.
Minor showed up in a big way in Chaparral’s season opener with nine receptions for 150 yards and a score. He came into the season with high expectations after a strong offseason and did not disappoint. He has a long and athletic frame at 6’4” 195 lbs. with impressive balls skills and body control. An exceptional vertical threat with his ability to high point the ball and come down with 50/50 balls but can also attack a defense on short and intermediate routes with clean and precise route running. Expect him to have a big 2020 season and his recruiting to pick up if he continues on the same trajectory.
ATH Jordan Richardson Jordan Richardson 6'0" | 160 lbs | ATH Moon Valley | 2021 State AZ , Moon Valley, 2021, 6’0” 160 lbs.
Filled the stat sheet in a variety of ways in a big win over Glendale in week 4. He had 3 receiving touchdowns, an interception, two forced fumbles, 2 PBU’s, and a defensive touchdown returning a fumble 99 yards. He’s a smooth athlete and a game changer on both sides of the ball for Moon Valley. Plus speed and acceleration allows him to make plays sideline to sideline. He has shown good improvement year over year and has picked up recruiting attention from several D3 programs thus far.
DL Malaki Ta’ase Malaki Ta’ase 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Mountain View (Mesa) | 2022 State AZ , Mountain View, 2022, 6’2” 240 lbs.
Ta’ase has been on fire to start the 2020 season and continued in week 4 with 4.5 sacks, 11 tackles, and 1 PBU in a victory over Desert Vista. Excels as a pass rusher using an explosive first step off the ball and quickness off the edge. He’s an impressive athlete with good feet, flexibility, and bend. Plays with good leverage and is violent and aggressive at the POA. He’s relentless in pursuit with the ability work laterally down the LOS or chase a ball carrier down at the second level. As a 2022, he’s possesses great upside and potential with D1 talent.
LB Mason Parker, Mountain View, 2021, 5’11” 190 lbs.
A versatile LB that is effective as a run stopper and in coverage. In the win over Desert Vista, he racked up 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a pass break up. A MLB with a high football IQ and a good ability to diagnose and read/react quickly. He shows good instincts and anticipation to put himself in position to make plays sideline to sideline. He’s a sure tackler that is strong in pursuit and little wasted movement in his pursuit angles. He’s a key piece in the undefeated Mountain View defense.
DB Cole Martin Cole Martin 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Basha | 2023 State AZ , Hamilton, 2023, 5’10” 175 lbs.
In a nationally televised win over highly ranked Saguaro, Martin demonstrated why he is one of the top defensive backs in the country. He not only locked down his corner spot against a very strong Saguaro receiving corps, he also was explosive in the return game with two huge punt returns setting up points including a 75 yarder right before half. He’s an elite level DB with the speed and quickness to match. He Displays great change of direction and fluidity flipping his hips and transitioning out of his back pedal. Colleges love his natural instincts, ball skills, and acceleration that allows him to close space quickly and make plays on the ball. Currently holds 19 offers from many of the top programs in the country and will have his pick of schools when all is said and done.
