Back and Forth, Canton advances over Milbank
In this new era of live streaming, I was able to cover a third game on Thursday and saw that the Canton C-Hawks and Milbank Bulldogs had a nail-biter going! I tuned in at halftime, but was able to review it and watch the whole game. Each team had their fair share of big plays, which was the the deciding factor by the end of the game. Here’s the scoring summary:
1st Quarter:
MHS- Bennett Schwenn 31 yard FG Good, 3-0 MHS
CHS- Seth Peterson 16 yard pass to Zander Elling, PAT Good, 7-3 CHS.

4th Quarter:
CHS- Seth Peterson 79 yard pass to Payton Eben, PAT Good, 14-10 CHS.
CHS- Zander Elling 9 yard rush, PAT Good, 21-10 CHS.
Players Highlighted from Canton:
RB/DB- Zander Elling ran the ball hard and got into space and used his speed, a good target out of the backfield as well.
QB/DB- Seth Peterson made some good decisions and put the ball in a position for his receivers to make a play.
WR/DB- Payton Eben was the playmaking target, anytime they needed a play, the ball was going in his direction.
Players Highlighted from Milbank:
RB/DB- Bennett Schwenn made some great runs when he got into space, is shifty, but knows when to put his foot in the ground and run, will initiate contact if needed.
QB- Kaden Krause played very well under pressure, made good decisions when throwing which resulted in big plays.
WR/LB- Mason Riley was a good yardage target, got to the sticks and used his big frame to shield the ball to make the catch.
