Webster City received a bye after a perfect regular season and district title.
Denison-Schleswig at Carroll
Back in September, these two teams squared off with Carroll posting a 42-7 victory.
Kelin Jones has completed 50 percent of his passes for 587 yards with Ryan Johnston running for 337 and four scores. Jones also has four rushing TDs and three receivers have at least 10 receptions.
The Monarchs will try to reverse the outcome. Carter Wessel has thrown for 433 yards and Jaxson Hildebrand has a team-high 242 yards rushing.
Awaiting the winner will be Sergeant Bluff-Luton, which received a bye.
Sioux City Heelan at Humboldt
A pair of dual-threat quarterbacks will be on display in Humboldt.
Sioux City Heelan’s Nathan Favors has thrown for 705 yards with six touchdowns, adding another 224 and six scores on the ground. Devionne West has 485 yards and seven rushing TDs with Brayden Pratt having caught 23 passes for 319 yards and three TDs.
For the Wildcats, Caden Matson has surpassed 1,000 yards passing. He has completed 80 of 130 for 1,087 with eight TDs, adding 767 yards and 13 scores on the ground.
Gabe Gidel is his favorite target with 31 receptions for 428 yards and five touchdowns.
The winner takes on Spencer next week.
